Helping Our Neighbors since 1986!

Germantown HELP is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides emergency assistance to our neighbors in crisis.  Our clients are residents of Germantown, MD (zip codes 20874 and 20876).

Our FOOD PROGRAM provides 2-3 days' worth of food.  Sometimes we have diapers, baby food and formula, please ask if you need these items.

Our PRESCRIPTION PROGRAM helps to pay for doctor-prescribed medication.  Prescriptions need to be filled at a Giant Food store.  We may be able to provide as much as $150 to help a NEW client, if funding is available.

Germantown HELP VOLUNTEERS are great!  They call clients, pick up food, sort it, box it and deliver it.  All kinds of folks volunteer with us at all times of the day and all days of the week.  If you have an hour or two a month, contact us!  Student Service Learning hours are often available, but most positions require a parent or other adult to help.

We greatly appreciate all our DONORS, large and small.  It all adds up to a lot of HELP!
